Talent-first technology academy · Morocco

Find the talent. Train it properly. Point it at work that matters.

Sagilor is being built as the digital front door of a small, serious technology organisation in Morocco: an open application, an honest assessment, structured training in AI, digital foundations and cyber defence, and applied work on problems the country actually has.

Who it is for

Young people in Morocco with more ability than opportunity

Graduates, self-taught builders, career changers. The filter is capability and seriousness, not the school on your certificate.

What we do

Assess honestly, teach deliberately, then put people on real work

Training that ends at a certificate ends too early. Every track finishes with something built, secured or measurably improved.

Why it matters

The problems are local; the skills travel

Water, resilience, language, automation. Work on those, and you have skills any employer anywhere recognises.

Why this, why now

A qualification is not protecting people.

Sagilor admits on assessment rather than on credentials. That is not a stylistic preference — it is what the national figures argue for.

16.7%
Unemployment among people holding a higher qualification — against 3.8% among people with no diploma at all
HCP, Q2 2026
27.2%
Unemployment among 15 to 24 year olds
HCP, Q2 2026
240,000
Direct digital jobs targeted by the national strategy before 2030
Morocco Digital 2030, launched September 2024

Figures as published, with the source beside each one. HCP notes its 2026 methodology is not comparable with earlier series, so only the current one is quoted.

Programmes

Three tracks, one standard of rigour.

Start where your work is today. Each track moves from fundamentals to applied work you can show to an employer, a client or a partner.

Duration, intake dates and fees are being finalised and will be published when they are fixed, not before.

Applied work

Where the training points.

These are the kinds of problems Sagilor is being built to work on. They are concepts under development, not projects already running — and they are described that way on purpose.

Agriculture

Water that gets measured before it gets used

Agriculture takes 87.8% of Morocco’s freshwater withdrawal, and renewable freshwater is down to 776.9 m³ per person — below the internationally used scarcity line of 1,000 m³. Cheap sensors, honest record-keeping and simple forecasting are within reach of a trained junior team long before they need a research lab.

Resilience

Small organisations that survive a bad day

Cooperatives, clinics and family firms hold data they cannot afford to lose and rarely have anyone to call. A defensive baseline and a tested recovery plan is unglamorous, teachable work that matters.

Applied AI

Language tools that work in the languages people use

Darija, Amazigh, French and English live side by side in one conversation. Tooling that assumes one language at a time fails quietly. Careful evaluation is the skill here, not model building.

Operations

The three-hour report nobody should be writing

Every small organisation has a recurring manual task that eats a morning. Finding it, documenting it and automating it is the most transferable skill an applied programme can teach.

Project concept

How applied work is scoped

The path

From application to work, without a black box.

Every stage is visible before you enter it. You always know what is being asked, why, and who reads the answer.

Apply

A short form and a fit check you can complete in about fifteen minutes.

Assess

Reasoning, digital fundamentals and motivation. Read by a person, not scored by a machine.

Train

A structured track at the level the conversation agreed, with real assignments.

Prove

Applied work with a constraint, reviewed against criteria you can see in advance.

“Training that ends at a certificate ends too early.

The principle the whole method is built on

There is no shortage of courses. There is a shortage of people who have been trusted with something real, early enough to find out what they are capable of.

So Sagilor is organised backwards from the work: what would someone need to be able to do on a live problem, and what is the shortest honest path to getting them there.

The longer version, including the roadmap

Building this with us

Sagilor is at the stage where partners, funders and employers shape what it becomes. If you work in Moroccan technology, agriculture, security or education — or you are part of the diaspora looking for something concrete to back — the conversation is open.
